Varisco Lithium

The high head pumps have excellent NPSH values. This means that they can be installed conveniently and the pumps are capable of delivering high pressures. LITHIUM is a special version of the H series pumps. This kind of pumps is characterized by solid handling up to 3”, head up to 100 m (10 bar) and capacity up to 310 m3/h, therefore it’s suitable for pumping liquids with solids in suspension at great distances. The high reliability and robustness make the LITHIUM ideal for heavy- duty application like the use in the mine.

Varisco J

Varisco J series are powerful self priming centrifugal pumps. Due to open type impeller these pumps are perfectly suitable for pumping of liquids that conatin large size solids, as well as for working in extreme conditions.

Self-priming principle
The air is drawn into the pump due to the negative pressure reated by the moving impeller and is emulsified with the liquid contained in the pump body. The air-liquid emulsion is forced into the priming chamber where the lighter air is separated and leaves through the discharge pipe; the heavier liquid drops back down into circulation.
Once all of the air has been expelled from the suction pipe, the pump is primed and works like a normal centrifugal pump. The pump can also work with an air-liquid mixture. The non-return valve has a dual function: it prevents the suction pipe from emptying when the pump is off; in the event of accidental emptying of the suction pipe, this holds a sufficient amount of liquid in the pump body to prime the pump. The discharge pipe must be free to expel the air coming from the suction pipe.
Heavy duty casing in cast iron, bronze or stainless steel. Easily opened priming, drain and impeller inspection covers.

Ductile iron, aluminium bronze or stainless steel open impeller handling large diameter spherical solids.

Externally lubricated mechanical seal. Can run dry on high vacuum even when
pumping highly abrasive liquids. Silicon or tungsten carbide seats (graphite rotating seat for versions for petroleum products). On request, double or cartridge seals.

Bearing housing with heavy duty bearings suitable for direct or V-belt drive. Standard diameter shaft extension bored and tapped to facilitate the assembly of couplings or pulleys.

Varisco Simple

SIMPLE vacuum assisted self-priming centrifugal pump units are highly dependable pumps suitable for wellpoint systems or sump pumping on site. At the heart of every SIMPLE unit there is a heavy-duty J series self-priming centrifugal pump handling liquids containing solids in suspension. A separator, closely joined to the liquid pump casing, forms a chamber where air or entrained gases can separate from the liquid and is drawn into a vacuum pump. The vacuum pump makes it possible for the unit to prime “dry” (without first having to fill the pump casing with liquid) and can handle considerable quantities of air, allowing the priming of the wellpoint system and maintaining it under vacuum, or draining an excavation thoroughly under “snore” conditions.

Cast iron separator.
  • Liquid entry in line with the impeller to reduce friction losses.
  • Vacuum pump oil reservoir incorporated in the separator to cool the oil.
  • Bronze air valve seats and brass suction and discharge check valve seats to resist salt water.

Oil lubricated vane type vacuum pump with built-in cooling fan.

Varisco Duo

The patented “Duo” system enables two pumps, one for water and the other for air, to work together in harmony, separating the elements at the suction port of the unit so that they can follow different paths. Furthermore it can easily handle solids in suspension in the pumped liquid. Duo vacuum assisted pumps open up a new era in the relationship between the workplace and the environment, reducing the environmental impact of civil engineering and construction sites while offering considerable savings in operating costs

Operating range:

Patented air/water separation system which does not draw air from the surrounding environment.
  • Reduction of the noise level produced by air entering from outside.
  • Particles in suspension in the air are not drawn into the vacuum pump, avoiding damage to the blades, bearings, casing and cover.
  • The vacuum pump is always ready to operate at its maximum level whenever there is air in the suction line.

Varisco V

V series positive displacement internal gear pumps are suitable for pumping liquids of any viscosity. Solids cannot be handled, but the pumps can cope with abrasive liquids.

Operating range:

  • Viscosity from 20 to 100.000 (mm2/s - cSt)
  • Capacity from 3,8 m3/h to 350 m3/h
  • Pressure handling from 8 bar to 20 bar


  • Constant capacity, directly proportional to the rotation speed and virtualy independent of the pressure.
  • Smooth flow, without pulsations or pressure peaks whitch could cause vibrations in the pipework.
  • Verstality. By adjusting the axial position of the rotor, the same pump can handle water-thin liquids or high viscosity liquids such as bitumen, molasses, resins, polymers, etc.
  • Reversibility. By inverting the direction of rotation the flow of liquid is reversed. Full performance is available in eather direction of flow.
  • Self-priming. The high vacuum created by the pump permits rapid self-priming at the maximum height made possible by the physical charecteristics of the pumped liquid.
  • Simplicity. Only two moving parts: the rotor and idler gears, and only one shaft seal.
  • Rugged, heavy duty construction. Low rotor and peripherial speed. External pedestal bearing housing with oversize ball bearing to take axial and radial loads.

  • Petroleum products: gasoline, diesel fuel, fuel oil, lubricating oil, additives, crude oil
  • Soap and detergents: surfactants, liquid detergents
  • Adhesives: glue, epoxy resins

Special versions:

Magnetic drive pump. The liquid is complitely contained in the pump to avoid leaks and consequent pollution of the environment.

Working principle:

V pumps are internal gear positive displacement rotary pumps. The flow is generated by two gears: the rotor and idler, one inside the other, separed by a crescent. As the gears rotate, liquid is drawn into the spaces created between the gears and the crescent. When the gears mesh, the liquid is forced out of the pump. The result are a smooth flow of liquid and high capacity combined with compact size.

  • Heavy duty casing in ductile iron, steel or stainless steel with flanged ports.
  • Casing with optional integral heating jacket available for ductile iron versions
  • Rotor and idler gears in ductile iron or stainless steel.
  • Anti-galling surface treatment for versions for solvents.
  • Bushes in cast iron, bronze, graphite or tungsten carbide.
  • By-pass relief valve (+Y) mounted on the pump available on request
  • Heated (+YR) or double (+YY) by-pass relief valves available for some
  • Shaft and idler pin in hardened steel or stainless steel.
  • Large bearings absorb axial and radial thrust. Lock rings for precise rotor positioning even when the pump is installed.

Varisco ST-R

Varisco ST-R series self-priming trash pumps are suitable for handling liquids with large solids in suspension. They are mounted above and out of the liquid to be pumped, enabling inspection and maintenance of the pump, drive and motor with greatly reducing health and safely hazards for maintenance personnel. The special design of the volute enables the pumps to prime and reprime automatically even without check valves. If the impeller should be clogged by rags or stringy materials, the large front cover can easily be removed to provide full access for inspection and maintenance.

Technical advantages

Replacable front and rear wear plates with abrasion and oil resistant rubber facing. The rubber facing protects the impeller vanes against wear due to small abrasive particles, reducing the need of adjustment to take up wear. This ensures as new performance and priming capabilities well into the service life of the parts. Cast iron or stainless steal wear plates are aviable as an altenative when pumping liquids containing sharp solids or aontaminated with petroleum products or chemicals Self aligning mechanical seal with tungsten carbide faces and Viton elastometers. Oil lubrication with double lip seal and cavity to isolate the seal oilfrom the bearing oil and permit monitoring of leaks from the seal from the outside.
Balanced ductile iron or stainless steel two vane inpeller hadling solids up to 3"(75mm) in diameter. Pump out vanes on rear to reduce the build up of foreign matter and reduce the pressure on the mechanical seal. Impeller inspection cover with large handle, brass wrenches and pusher bolts for easy removal.
Canvas reinforced nitrile rubber on Vitron suction check valve witch can easily be replaced trough the front cover without removing the pipework Robust cast iron casing complite with an easily removed priming cover and lower drain plug. Pressure relief valve mounted on the front cover vent the casing before opening the cover.
